Our House Director helps to make our chapter facility feel like home and takes pride in providing welcoming, inclusive, and secure spaces. The individual in this role enjoys creating and maintaining interpersonal relationships with our chapter members, thrives in administrative and facility responsibilities, and can think critically and cross-collaborate on various projects and tasks. This full-time position manages the operations and maintenance of the house, provides onsite support to members of the Chapter and directs employees and vendors to foster a safe and enjoyable environment furthering a positive member experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION
• Maintains a safe, welcoming and productive environment for residents.
• Implements AEHCB policies and procedures.
• Directs multiple service providers.
• Coordinates routine maintenance.
• Directs the housekeeping, landscaping and maintenance staff and hires new staff when needed.
• With input from the collegians, develop and communicate food service and preferences to the kitchen management company.
• Oversees the purchasing of kitchen, cleaning, and other necessary supplies.
• Maintains the physical structure of the house and provides prompt communication of house maintenance issues to the AEHCB.
• Manages and oversees all minor repairs.
• Notifies AEHCB of major repairs with estimates for the work. Reports immediately to the AEHCB all damages that require insurance claims.
• Communicates any unusual trends or problems within the chapter to the chapter adviser.
• Adheres to campus, sorority, and chapter policies and rules.
• Communicates and builds relationships with other campus house directors.
• Communicates regularly with the chapter president and the house manager.
• Maintains and is responsible for a petty cash fund for small expenses.
• Creates a “home away from home” atmosphere within the chapter house.
• Supervises the opening and closing of the house.
QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of related experience
• Experience with staff supervision and property management preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, web-based applications, email, scanning and general computer skills.
• Meet specified physical requirements of lifting no more than 35 lbs, standing, walking and climbing stairs multiple times daily.
• Ability to use proper discretion and independent judgment in carrying out the primary roles and responsibilities of the position.
• May work extended hours and / or non-traditional hours (i.e. able to respond to emergencies 24/7)
• Education High school diploma or equivalent.
• Travel Minimal local travel.
TIME COMMITMENT and BENEFITS
A forty-plus hour workweek with an apartment and utilities provided. Must be on-site overnight except when prior arrangements have been made for other adult supervision. All meals will be provided when the collegians are in the house. This is a smoke, alcohol, pet, and firearms-free environment.
