Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time House Director to oversee the daily operations, safety, and facility management of a sorority chapter home. This is a unique opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping a positive, supportive living environment for collegiate members while managing a sorority property. The House Director is required to live on-site in a private suite with provided amenities.
The House Director is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the chapter facility, including facility oversight, financial administration, staff supervision, and member support. This role serves as a key liaison between students, alumni/House Board members, vendors, and university partners.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Operations Management
- Oversee daily facility operations to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
- Coordinate routine services including cleaning, maintenance, landscaping, pest control, and inspections.
- Maintain relationships with approved vendors and service providers.
- Supervise repairs, deliveries, and ongoing improvement projects.
- Ensure the property’s life-safety equipment complies with all health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Safety & Compliance
- Implement and maintain life-safety procedures in coordination with university and the Kappa Kappa Gamma local/alumnae corporation guidelines.
- Conduct fire drills and maintain evacuation plans.
- Perform routine safety and security checks.
- Maintain emergency contacts and first aid readiness.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Maintain financial records, invoices, and facility documentation.
- Manage bill pay and reporting.
Staff & Vendor Management
- Supervise and evaluate staff.
- Coordinate with food service vendors.
- Ensure the house is operational at the start of each term.
Member Relations & Community Engagement
- Maintain regular office hours and be accessible to residents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive living environment aligned with Kappa Kappa Gamma’s values of leadership, scholarship, and philanthropy.
- Serve as a mentor and responsible adult presence.
- Communicate with chapter officers, residents, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience in property management, facilities management, or residential operations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Financial management experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay at $50,000 based on experience
Schedule & Requirements
- Full-time with on-site residency required
- Evening/weekend availability as needed
